Welcome to a quiet winter getaway in the heart of Inari, Finnish Lapland. We invite you to experience our local way of life and the traditions that have shaped this region for generations, away from the busy tourist hubs. 

Stay in a cozy, traditional log cottage where you can watch the Northern Lights right from your doorstep. Accommodation is in shared rooms, with half-board meals prepared by private cooks. Your journey includes activities like ice-fishing & snowmobile trip, visiting a reindeer farm, and meeting local huskies. You will also explore the Siida Museum, experience Finland's longest sledding hill in Saariselkä, and enjoy a home-cooked dinner hosted by a local family. In the evening, relax in sauna with a refreshing ice-dip for the brave or step into an outdoor hot tub under the stars,

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • 6 Nights Accommodation: Stay at the authentic Log Cottage by a lake.
  • Shared Rooms: Each family of 3-4 has a room with two bunk beds.
  • Half Board Meals: 6 breakfasts and 6 dinners prepared by private cooks (local berries, fish & reindeer), plus 1 campfire lunch.
  • Facilities: Toilets are shared and located within the main building. The cottage has a big living room with a cozy fireplace and a separate kitchen.
  • The Sauna Experience: Our traditional wood-fired sauna and showers are in a separate building by the lake.
  • Ice-Swimming & Hot Tub: On one special evening, enjoy our wood-fired hot tub – the ultimate way to hunt for the Northern Lights
  • Local Guidance: 2–3 local hosts and drivers.
  • Full Transport: All airport transfers and activity transportation.
  • Exclusive Activities: Visit to Siida Museum and Reindeer & Husky Farms, Sledding, Ice-Fishing & Snowmobile tour, Sauna, Ice-Swimming & outside Hot Tub experience.
  • Gear & Equipment: Winter gear (overalls, winter boots & helmets available)

7-DAY JOURNEY AT A GLANCE

  • Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Dinner with Your Hosts – Arrive in Ivalo and settle into our cozy lakeside log cottage. Your journey begins with a special welcome dinner shared with your local hosts—the perfect time to get to know the family before a relaxing evening sauna.
  • Day 2: Ancestral RootsSiida Sámi Museum and a visit to a reindeer farm to feed the herd and learn more about local way of life. Evening dinner at a local family's home.
  • Day 3: The Great OutdoorsSnowmobile & Ice-fishing trip with a campfire lunch. (Mini-snowmobile available for kids to ride)
  • Day 4: Saariselkä Adventure – Visit a husky farm and ride Finland's longest sledging hill. Optional 2-hour husky safari with additional fee.
  • Day 5: Arctic Freedom – Relax at the cabin (test ice-fishing or skiing by yourself) or join the Santa Claus Village excursion in Rovaniemi (€50/pax). This whole day trip includes an 8-hour car ride.
  • Day 6: Hidden Wonders – Souvenir shopping in Ivalo and a Farewell Dinner. Final night sauna and hot tub under the stars. Try ice-swimming after the sauna – it's a crazy local tradition you'll never forget.
  • Day 7: Journey Home – Final breakfast and airport transfer.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED:

  • 12-h Santa Claus Village Trip: €50 per person
  • 2-Hour Husky Safari
  • Flights & Travel Insurance.
  • Daily Lunches (except Day 3).

GOOD TO KNOW:

  • The Aurora: We are in a prime location for the Northern Lights—see them right from the cottage! Clear skies are the only requirement!
  • Dress Warmly: Temperatures can drop significantly; we provide thermal gear, but remember to pack your own thermal base layers.
  • Authenticity: This is a private, small-group experience, not a commercial tour.
