A 10-minute drive from Ivalo lies a peaceful Ukontupa campsite on the shores of Lake Ukonjärvi. The campsite is set in a calm environment where only the occasional reindeer may wander by.
Ukontupa Camp Site
The campsite consists of two log cottages:
- Main cottage (up to 20 guests)
- Four bedrooms with bunk beds, baby cot available
- Loft sleeping area for 5 people
- Spacious kitchen for cooking and dining
- Cozy living room with a large table for shared meals
- Free WiFi for easy connection with loved ones back home
- Shared bathroom and toilets
- Sauna cottage
- Traditional wood-heated sauna and showers
- Separate studio in the sauna cottage with its own entrance for 1-4 guests and own toilet
Good to know:
The nearby lake is ideal for anyone who enjoys a touch of adventure, with crystal-clear, refreshingly cool water that is perfect for a summer swim. For those who prefer to stay warm and comfortable, the sauna offers a soothing, relaxing place to unwind. After the sauna, it is possible to swim in the lake - both in the summer and winter - or enjoy a wood-heated hot tub. During the summer, a rowboat and fishing gear are available, and children can enjoy the football field. The surrounding area is excellent for berry-picking. In winter, it provides an easy and comfortable place to watch the Northern Lights, either from the porch or down by the lake.
Main Cottage
4 bedrooms with 2 bunk beds each, loft with 5 beds, combined dining & living room with a fireplace, big kitchen and 3 toilets.
Sauna & showers
Sauna and showers are located in a smaller cottage closer to the lake and are used by all guests staying in the 2 cottages.
Studio Apartment
Studio apartment in the sauna cottage for 1-4 people with own toilet, fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle
