Cottage Accommodation

A short drive from Ivalo lies a peaceful Ukontupa campsite on the shores of Lake Ukonjärvi. The campsite is set in a calm environment where only the occasional reindeer may wander by. 

Ukontupa Camp Site

The campsite consists of two log cottages. The larger cottage can accommodate up to 20 guests and features four bedrooms with bunk beds, a loft for 5 people, a spacious kitchen, and a cozy living room with a large table for shared meals. The main cottage also includes free WiFi, making it simple to stay connected with loved ones back home. The second, smaller cottage houses a traditional wood-heated sauna and showers. It also includes a separate bedroom with its own entrance and toilet, suitable for a group of 1–4 guests.

The nearby lake is ideal for anyone who enjoys a touch of adventure, with crystal-clear, refreshingly cool water that is perfect for a summer swim. For those who prefer to stay warm and comfortable, the sauna offers a soothing, relaxing place to unwind. After the sauna, it is possible to swim in the lake - both in the summer and winter - or enjoy a wood-heated hot tub.  A rowboat and fishing gear are available, and children can enjoy the football field. The surrounding area is excellent for berry-picking, and in winter it provides an easy and comfortable place to watch the Northern Lights, either from the porch or down by the lake.
